Where to Find Late-Night Desserts in Birmingham
Birmingham's dessert scene has grown fast, but most kitchens shut long before the city does. If you are looking for something sweet after 11PM, your options narrow quickly.
Check the kitchen close, not the door close
Many dessert cafés advertise late hours but stop cooking an hour before closing. Our kitchen runs right through the evening, so a molten lava pudding ordered at 1AM is made the same way it would be at 7PM.
What to order at Rotana
If you are here for the first time, these are the plates that come back to the pass empty:
- Molten lava pudding — warm chocolate centre, best shared with two spoons and never shared in practice.

We do not serve alcohol, so the drinks list is built around fresh mocktails, thick shakes, smoothies and juices. A sharp mojito-style mocktail cuts through a rich dessert far better than another hot drink late at night.

Sweet, cold desserts sit well with mint and citrus shisha flavours, while richer chocolate plates work with double apple or a house blend. Order both together and let the pipe arrive first — it should be settling while the dessert is made.
